I loved my colour consult with Terri. I had my colours done back in my teens (a long time ago!) and still remember a lot of it, but I was feeling stuck around what lighter colours I can wear, why some colours weren’t right on me and what may have changed since then.
It was super helpful to see what my colour palette is now and although it’s not that different, it did clarify a whole lot of things. I love knowing why certain shades of red or blue or grey work for me or don’t so I can choose well when I’m shopping.
On top of the helpful ‘technical info’, it was a truly affirming experience. Terri is warm and friendly and great at bringing out the best in people. She is really passionate about what she does and makes it a really enjoyable process. Highly recommended!

I had been thinking for a while about investing in my wardrobe which meant I needed to ensure the colours I picked suited my skin tone. This however is very difficult to do online! So it was to my surprise to find that we have a local colour consultant right here in the Bay of Islands.

Terri was so friendly and knowledgeable, her studio is lovely and her passion for styling really shows. I loved finding even more colours that I can now wear and shopping is such a breeze with the colour wheel she supplies.

I would highly recommend Terri no matter the age or style level you're at, as I know she will make you feel happy, comfortable and confident once you leave her studio.

I really enjoyed my time with Terri and found it hugely beneficial. I was greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere in a lovely sunny location. Terri explained the whole process and made it clear to me so I could understand which was very considerate, It was nice to know the process before starting. Throughout the process she explained how she came to each conclusion helping me see the theory behind the colours that suit me. She gave me a lot of tips along the way for how to dress and little tips for doing my makeup. I walked away from this with a lot more knowledge than I did before and I am very thankful.

Having had my 'colours' done around 15 years ago it was wonderful to get them done again. A lot changes in 15 years... hair colour, skin tone, body shape, but it's not just me that's changed, so have the Colour Me Beautiful colour variations, no longer are there just four seasons there are 12 variations!

As for Terri, she has a fantastic personality and puts you at ease from the moment you step into the Lady M Studio. Her knowledge, understanding and skill at providing colour and style advice is incredible. My session refreshed my previous knowledge but also provided me with a new understanding and confidence to know what my colours and styles are now.

I am so pleased that we met and even more pleased that I decided to have my colours done by you.

What a wonderful experience this was, from the moment when I arrived at your beautifully appointed and private studio until we bid farewell. The whole experience, even the makeover lifted my mood and stayed with me for the rest of the day. I had no idea what to expect and admit I was a bit apprehensive about it. In my late seventies I didn’t really think I needed to “Have my Colours done”.

How wrong I was, you have shown me how to take a fresh look at myself and given me a new appreciation of how colour can affect ones mood. Thanks to you, I have even started to put a little colour on my face again and have been amazed at other people’s positive reaction to the way I look.

In recent years I have learnt that shopping from Op Shops is a huge saving, but always tell myself “I don’t need any more clothes”. Talking to you and observing how immaculate you always look has changed my thinking “I can afford to shop more often using Op Shops. I can ring the changes and use my colours to uplift my mood and have fun”. Shopping has always been a therapy of sorts, looking and feeling good is an added bonus.

So thank you Terri for a wonderful experience.

Thank you for your makeup tuition today. I was delighted to find out little tips and tricks that improved my" look", and made putting on make- up SO easy. You are so positive that I came away empowered. And I don't look "caked", like an oil painting! It looks natural but it smooths my skin out and helps with confidence. I was "done -up this morning but here it is late afternoon and my make-up doesn't look washed out yet. How I wish I had found out these ideas when I was younger!
